Chelsea striker Joao Pedro has withdrawn from Brazil's squad for the upcoming international break due to injury.
The 24-year-old forward was supposed to take part in Seleção's upcoming unusual brace of friendlies against Australia on 25th & 29th September.
Fluminense forward Martinelli has been called up as his replacement.
Pedro was a shock omission from Carlo Ancelotti's squad that took part at the World Cup in North America over the summer, where Brazil were eliminated in the round of 16 by Norway.
After initially being included in Brazil's latest squad, a knock that Pedro took against Hull has put an end to his chances of representing his country over the next month and, in turn, Chelsea's next Premier League assignment against Brentford.

Although it is not absolutely confirmed that Pedro will miss Chelsea's trip to Gtech Community Stadium, his withdrawal from the Brazil squad places his gameweek five participation in extreme doubt.
His potential absence will be a huge blow to Xabi Alonso given the start that Pedro has made this season. The ex-Brighton man has three goals and three assists in four top-flight starts so far this campaign.
Not too much is known about the extent of the injury at this time, with Chelsea fans hoping that his withdrawal from the national team is purely a precaution. The fact that Pedro remained on the pitch after sustaining the injury will provide supporters with hope that he will be back after the international break.
Alonso is set to speak to the press on Thursday morning, where he will no doubt will quizzed on the Brazilian's fitness.
Danny Welbeck is likely to lead the line in his absence against Brentford and, after Friday's game, Chelsea are not in action again until 10th October when they welcome Bournemouth to Stamford Bridge.
