Hull City are closing in on a move to sign German international Josha Vagnoman ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline.
The Tigers have enjoyed a fairytale start to life back in the Premier League thus far, and currently sit second in the table after opening their campaign with back-to-back wins.
Hull have already made 12 senior signings this summer but they continue to chase a number of targets in the closing days of the window.
A right-sided defender has been high on Sergej Jakirovic's wish list since the start of the summer and it appears that he may have finally got his man with a move for Stuttgart full-back Vagnoman reportedly nearing completion.
Initial reports revealed that an agreement had been made between the two clubs over a potential transfer, with Mike White of BBC Radio Humberside reporting that personal terms have also been agreed.
It is said that some finer details still need to be ironed out but that talks are ongoing, with Hull optimistic of securing his signature.
Vagnoman has made 126 appearances in all competitions for Stuttgart, and featured as the club participated in the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League league phase.
The 25-year-old has also made two international appearances for Germany, most recently in March when he came off the bench in a pre World Cup friendly against Ghana.
Hull captain Lewie Coyle has started both of their Premier League games at right back thus far, with Cody Drameh coming off the bench to replace him on both games.
Drameh was previously linked with a move away from the MKM Stadium this summer and it remains to be seen if he would be allowed to leave if Hull are able to get the signing of Vagnoman over the line.
