New play-off structure could help Dragons
Ambitious Wrexham are 16/1 to win the Championship in 2026-27, while their odds to be promoted reflect the strength in the Welsh side's squad as they seek to improve on last season's campaign.
However, they could be among the clubs to benefit from a change in the play-offs this season with seventh and eighth place now also earning a chance at going up - the teams finishing in those positions facing the teams who come fifth and sixth in an extra 'eliminator' round.

In what will be Andoni Iraola's second game in charge, the Reds are sure to test Wrexham's promotion credentials after the Basque coach oversaw a 4-2 win over Sunderland on Saturday.
Following the Liverpool friendly, Wrexham then take on the Black Cats as they round off their summer series of games in Pennsylvania on August 2nd.
Boro cup date also looms
With the league campaign getting under way on August 17th with a big Welsh derby against Cardiff City, before that Wrexham are in competitive action when they face fellow Championship promotion contenders Middlesbrough in the EFL Cup first round on August 7th.
That is a game Parkinson's side are 14/5 to win, Boro are 3/4, with the draw at full-time available at 11/4.
After that test it will be all systems go for a promotion push and Wrexham will hope they can take their fine summer form into the domestic season.
Unsurprisingly, the three teams who dropped out of the Premier League are the initial outright favourites to win the title, with West Ham leading the way at 2/1, ahead of Wolves at 11/2 and Burnley at 9/1.
Next come Middlesbrough (10/1), Birmingham and Southampton (both 14/1), and Sheffield United (16/1).
