Wrexham have reportedly agreed a deal to sign defender Matias Moreno from Fiorentina.
Moreno joined Fiorentina from Argentine club Belgrano in the summer of 2024 and he made 12 appearances for the club in the following campaign.
The 22-year-old, who is yet to feature for the senior Argentina team, spent last season on loan at Levante in Spain.
He featured 28 times in La Liga and helped the club to stay up on the final day of the season.
He has since returned to Fiorentina but reports suggest that he could be about to move to Wales.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Wrexham have agreed a deal worth an estimated £7.2 million to sign Moreno.
It is claimed that Fiorentina will have a 50% sell-on clause as part of the transfer if it goes through.
Wrexham finished seventh in the Championship last season and they will be hoping to challenge for the play-offs again next season.
Their chances have also been boosted by the change of format to provide the teams who finish seventh and eighth with a place in the play-offs this time around.
