Celtic made a blistering start to the season with a run of eight consecutive domestic wins but their form dipped before the extended international break.
The defending champions head to Motherwell seeking to end a three-game losing run across all competitions after a pair of losses to Rangers, in the League Cup and Scottish Premiership, and a Europa League defeat at home to Ferencvaros.
Motherwell are also on a three-match losing streak but they will feel capable of getting a positive result against Celtic, having won 2-0 when these sides met at Fir Park in December last season.
Best Bet - Celtic to win and both teams to score @ 7/4
Alternative Bet - Benjamin Nygren to score anytime @ 21/20
Bet Builder - Benjamin Nygren 2+ shots on target, Kasper Hogh 2+ shots on target, Tawanda Maswanhise to score or assist, Over 3 cards @ 12/1
Best Bet: Celtic to win and both teams to score @ 7/4
Celtic signed off with three defeats prior to the international break but they should be able to respond with a win at out-of-form Motherwell, although a clean sheet could be beyond the visitors.
The Parkhead club won three of the four meetings between these two sides last season and their only defeats this season have come in Europe and to Rangers.
Martin O’Neill’s side have been too strong for their other domestic opponents and can claim three points against a Motherwell outfit who have recorded just two wins in their opening eight Premiership games, losing three.
However, goals haven’t necessarily been the problem for the hosts as they have scored a respectable nine goals in seven league games so far.
Motherwell scored in all four of their meetings with Celtic last season, hitting seven goals in total, and both teams have scored in seven of the last eight clashes between these two sides at this venue - so the hosts can at least strike in defeat.
Alternative Bet: Benjamin Nygren to score anytime @ 21/20
Benjamin Nygren is one of three Celtic players on three Premiership goals for the season and the Swede is the pick of the bunch for an anytime effort on Sunday.
Nygren had a goal and two assists in his final four league games before linking up with Sweden for the international break and he scored for his country against Poland.
The 25-year-old is the form man in the Celtic attack and he can help his side pick up three points at Fir Park.
Benjamin Nygren is averaging 2.4 shots per game in the Premiership and only 0.7 per game are recorded as off target. The Swedish attacker has managed 1.3 shots on target per 90 mins in the league.
Nygren looks capable of managing at least two attempts on target and team-mate Kasper Hogh can match that. The 25-year-old averages a hefty 3.5 shots per game with 1.5 per game on target.
A Motherwell goal has been backed in our best bet and Tawanda Maswanhise can play a key role for the home side by either scoring himself or providing an assist.
The Zimbabwe international hit 17 goals last season and has one goal and two assists this season, he also weighed in with an assist for his country over the international break.
Tensions boiled over on a couple of occasions when these sides met last season. There were at least four yellow cards in each of the final three meetings between these two teams, with 14 yellow and two red across those games, so over three cards seems likely.
