As the two traditional powerhouses of Scottish football, Rangers and Celtic have won by far and away the most national league titles, with the Gers on 55 and the Bhoys moving clear on 56 with their dramatic success over Hearts on the final day of the 2025/26 campaign.
The last time a team outside of the Old Firm won the Scottish league title was Aberdeen under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson in 1984/85.
In total, there have been 11 clubs who have been crowned champions of Scotland since the establishment of the Scottish Football League in 1890.
