PSV Eindhoven finished a massive 28 points ahead of rivals Ajax as they won the Eredivisie title last season and new boss Michel is tasked with closing that gap.
Now the pair face off in the first edition of De Topper this term, with both teams having made solid starts to the new Eredivisie season.

Best Bet: Over 3.5 goals @ 8/11
PSV were devastating going forward last season and they have picked up where they left off in the new campaign, netting 15 times in their four league games.
A 2-2 draw with Fortuna Sittard in the opening game of their title defence has been firmly put behind them with three wins on the spin against Excelsior, Groningen and Utrecht.
Now they face a tough challenge against Ajax, who have also been scoring for fun in their European and domestic endeavours.
The Amsterdam side have already played six UEFA Conference League qualifiers, scoring 22 goals in the process, while they have netted eight times in their three Eredivisie outings.
Michel’s men have been leaky at the back too though, with just two clean sheets in their nine games, and they may struggle to contain what has been a dominant PSV outfit.
Games between these two have a tendency to be high-scoring, with four of the last six going over 3.5 goals, and it’s tough to see anything but another end-to-end affair.
Take four or more goals to be scored in this latest edition of this rivalry.
Alternative Bet: Ricardo Pepi anytime goalscorer @ 21/20
Ricardo Pepi had an impressive campaign in the Eredivisie last season, scoring 16 times in as many starts, and he seems to have established himself as PSV’s starting striker this term.
The American has already scored twice in four games and is the away team’s designated penalty taker.
Against an Ajax team who have looked open at the back, it’s worth siding with Pepi to get on the scoresheet at odds-against.
Both teams to score
PSV to win
Sergino Dest to be shown a card
Pays 14/1
Considering the attacking talents on display in this game and the open nature of games between these two, both teams have scored in six of the last seven meetings between the pair so goalmouth action at both ends looks likely.
PSV have looked in ominous form and while Ajax are a work in progress under Michel, they are unlikely to be able to match the efforts of the defending champions who are fancied to win this De Topper.
Sergino Dest is PSV’s all-action full-back and has been busy this season, with two goals and two assists in three games.
However, his attacking nature can leave him exposed at the back and the former Ajax man was booked five times in 26 league starts last term. He could be set for one here.
