The Eredivisie has been dominated by the big three in recent years, with PSV, Ajax and Feyenoord sharing the last 15 titles.

They head the market again this season, with Feyenoord and Ajax attempting to bridge the huge gap which PSV opened up on their rivals in 2025/26, finishing 19 points ahead of the Rotterdam outfit.

Dutch Eredivisie Prediction

Best Bet - PSV to win the Eredivisie @ 8/11

PSV dominated last year's Eredivisie, wrapping up the title in early April and eventually winning by a whopping 19 points.

It looks set to be more of the same for Peter Bosz's side, who have managed to hold on to the majority of their stars.

Sure, Ismael Saibiri may have departed for Bayern Munich, but they received a hefty fee for him and have brought in AZ Alkmaar midfielder Sven Mijnans, who scored 11 goals and registered six assists in 27 starts, to replace him.

Their core of Ricardo Pepi, Sergino Dest, Joey Veerman, Jerdy Schouten and Guus Til appear to be sticking around and youngsters such as Noah Fernandez, Esmir Bajraktarevic and Paul Wanner should kick on.

Goalkeeper Matej Kovar has also signed on a permanent deal after impressing on loan last season.

To add to that, their rivals Ajax and Feyenoord are both in transition. Michel has arrived in Amsterdam after some decent spells in Spain, but their strategy of signing big-name veterans has not been successful in recent seasons.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Daley Blind and Julian Brandt have joined but will need to prove that they still have what it takes to compete at this level.

They have also lost exciting youngster Sean Steur to Newcastle, while Mika Godts is nearing a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Feyenoord have opted to reappoint Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who guided to them to the title in 2016/17, following Robin van Persie's disappointing spell in charge, with star striker Ayase Ueda linked with a move away.

Leo Sauer, Hwang In-beom and Calvin Stengs have already departed and this new-look team could take time to gel.

With both of their main opponents in a period of transition, expect PSV to retain the title.

Alternative Bet - Ajax to finish above Feyenoord @ 4/6

Ajax may have finished fifth last season but they have brought in a talented manager in Michel, who led Girona to qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time under his tutelage.

Marcos Leonardo impressed in Saudi Arabia and has been signed to lead the line, while Brandt headlines some interesting free and loan signings, including Blind and Ter Stegen.

Feyenoord may struggle to live with this new-look Ajax side, particularly if Van Bronckhorst's recent record is anything to go by.

Despite reaching the 2022 Europa League final, the head coach struggled at Rangers and managed just 20 games at Besiktas before being sacked in his last job.

Side with Ajax to finish above Feyenoord this season.

Alternative Bet - Wout Weghorst top goalscorer @ 20/1

One of the most interesting signings in the Eredivisie this season sees veteran striker Wout Weghorst move to Twente, reuniting him with technical director Erik ten Hag.

The 33-year-old is not getting any younger but is a top target man and scored 18 Eredivisie goals in 29 starts across the last two seasons with Ajax.

Twente finished fourth in 2025/26 and should be there or thereabouts once more, with Weghorst set to play a big role in that.

A big price, he looks an interesting contender to be the league's top scorer.
