A lively battle is expected between Mercedes duo George Russell and Kimi Antonelli in Canada on Sunday and the Italian driver may prove the better value option despite lining up second on the grid in Montreal.
The pair clashed in the Sprint race on Saturday when Antonelli challenged his team-mate for the lead and while Russell later added pole position to his victory in the shorter event, the main race looks set to be a close and competitive contest.
Russell won from pole in Montreal last season but with rain in the forecast another entertaining round of F1 World Championship action is expected.
Best Bet - Kimi Antonelli to win the race @ 2/1
Alternative Bet - Pierre Gasly to win Group 3 @ 3/1
Bet Builder - Kimi Antonelli to finish in the top 2, Lando Norris to finish on the Podium, Lewis Hamilton to finish in the top 6, Franco Colapinto to finish in the points @ 6/1
Best Bet: Kimi Antonelli to win the race @ 2/1
Mercedes have locked out the front row again for the Canadian Grand Prix but George Russell faces plenty of competition as he seeks a second successive victory in Montreal and at the raceday prices his teammate Kimi Antonelli looks the better value bet.
Russell is the 1/1 favourite, but backing Antonelli at 2/1 is preferred in a race that could be affected by showers. Russell ended up on top but it was a far from smooth qualifying session for him.
Antonelli posted a faster time in each of the first two qualifying periods and while the British driver pulled pole out of the bag with an excellent late lap, he has not been dominant by any means.
Russell won the Sprint on Saturday after a clash with Antonelli when the younger driver tried to pass him to take the lead, which enabled Lando Norris in a competitive McLaren to pounce and take second place. Antonelli made a solid recovery to finish within two seconds of Russell and he should not be discounted.
McLaren are having another solid weekend and Norris has each-way prospects at 13/2, but Antonelli appeals at the odds offered for him to extend his winning run.
Alternative Bet: Pierre Gasly to win Group 3 @ 3/1
Alpine and Racing Bulls have been the leading teams outside the big four this weekend and the French team's Pierre Gasly is an interesting candidate to win bet365's Group 3 at 3/1.
Gasly goes up against favourite Liam Lawson of Racing Bulls, plus Audi pair Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto in the four-driver section and with the German team failing to impress this weekend, New Zealander Lawson looks his main rival.
Gasly qualified only 14th, but that understimates his potential as he had a troubled qualifying session. He struck a groundhog in Q1, damaging his car which affected his performance in Q2. As such, his repaired Alpine car should be capable of better in the race and his teammate Franco Colapinto qualified ahead of Lawson in the top 10.
Gasly scored points in the first three races this season and should have the pace to record the best finish of his group.
For a four-leg Bet Builder on the Canadian Grand Prix that pays out at 6/1 if successful, start by taking Antonelli to finish first or second as he looks to extend his championship lead.
Add Norris to secure a second successive podium finish after he finished second in Miami. The McLaren man also won the Sprint in Miami and was second in Saturday's shorter race in Montreal. He could again prove the biggest threat to the Silver Arrows.
Ferrari are also showing decent speed this weekend and Lewis Hamilton can keep up his run of finishing in the top six at every race this season. The seven-time Montreal winner has finished fourth, third, sixth and sixth in the four races this season and seems happier with his car this weekend.
Complete the bet by taking Franco Colapinto to finish in the points. The Alpine driver qualified in 10th after finishing ninth in the Sprint and was an excellent seventh in Miami last time out.
