The 2026 Winter Olympics will see multiple cities play host for the first time in history.
A joint bid by Milan and Cortina saw the two locations share hosting responsibilities for the 2026 Games. It's the second time Cortina has hosted the Winter Olympics after 1956, and it will be the third time Italy has hosted the Winter Olympics with Turin playing host in 2006.
Cortina will be the sixth place to host the Winter Olympics twice after Salt Lake City, Albertville, Innsbruck, Lake Placid and St Moritz, with Turin joining the list in 2030.
