Former WBC champion Deontay Wilder is reportedly set to feature on the undercard of the long-awaited clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua on 11 December.
The most anticipated heavyweight fight of the modern era has been finalised, and tickets for the clash at the Principality Stadium will go on sale on Friday, 9th October.
While the blockbuster main event has got the sporting world talking, a star-studded undercard is expected to be announced to support the premier attraction in the lead-up to fight night.
Streaming giants Netflix are intent on delivering one of the most stacked events the sport has ever seen, with Saudi boxing Supremo Turki Alalshikh reportedly prepared to spare no expense when it comes to constructing the lineup.
The likes of Manny Pacquiao, Shakur Stevenson and Andy Ruiz have all been linked with the event and it appears there are yet more world champions in talks to feature.
According to a report from the Ring Magazine's Mike Coppinger, a fight between Wilder and current cruiserweight standout Jai Opetaia is in the works.
Coppinger added that any potential fight with Wilder would not impact Opetaia's slated cruiserweight unification showdown with David Benavidez, which is still expected to take place next year.
The Australian Opetaia became one of the first high-profile names to join Alalshikh and Dana White's upstart Zuffa Boxing promotion when he inked a multi-fight deal in January.
In his most recent outing the 2012 Olympian claimed a seventh-round stoppage of Noel Mikaelian in Las Vegas, claiming the WBA cruiserweight title in the process.
Wilder meanwhile last fought in April, claiming a split decision win over Derek Chisora at the O2 Arena in London.
The 40-year-old was subsequently linked with a fight against former undisputed heavyweight king Oleksandr Usyk, but talks of a potential clash between the pair appear to have gone cold in recent months.
