After weeks of speculation, it's officially been confirmed that Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will undertake their ringwalks at around 01:00 (GMT).
The bout, which is one of the biggest in British boxing history, was confirmed at a huge launch press conference last week whereby the fight time was understandably one of the hottest topics.
Rumours had been rife that ringwalks could take place as late as 3am (GMT) to accomodate the biggest global audience for Netflix, however, it's now been confirmed that a compromise has been reached.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, boxing reporter Michael Bridge revealed details of the breakthrough.
"I remember six years ago when we announced that this fight was first happening, and finally all these years later, it is actually going to happen," he said.
"But the big question is why are we having it in the early hours of the morning, at 1am -- which has now officially been announced.
"It really is to cater for the American audience, and we all know there has been lots of talks taking place with regards to where the fight was going to be staged and we know that Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua have remained convinced that this fight has to be in the UK.
"There were others who really wanted the fight to take place in the United States, at New York's Madison Square Garden, which would have meant a start time of around 2am for fans in the UK.
"However, it's now going to be 1am here, which is slightly earlier than that, but still enables US-based viewers to watch the fight during sociable hours too, so a compromise has been reached.
"Turki Alalshikh. who has put this together with his business partners, including Dana White, firmly believe that there will be significant interest in this fight between two of the biggest British heavyweights in the sport's history."
An application to Cardiff Council revealed the ringwalk is planned to start at around 01:00 (GMT) following a short live music performance, and the stadium, in which the roof will be closed for the duration of the event, will remain open to the public until 03:30.
Despite the choice of venue being confirmed in September, required changes to its premises licence to allow the early-hours fight to go ahead have yet to be secured. although they are expected to be given the green light imminently.
