With confirmation that Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua will go ahead in Cardiff on 11th December, the attention now turns to the make-up of the undercard.
A star-studded undercard is expected when the two British heavyweight giants lock horns at the Principality Stadium, and a number of huge names have already been mooted.
Talks regarding a bout between Manny Pacquiao and Shakur Stevenson as the co-main event have seemingly subsided, but there's reportedly still a willingness to get 'PacMan' on the card.
How the undercard will be constructed remains to be seen -- with promoter squabbles concerning who is involved in the fight seemingly complicating the situation -- but Matchroom Boxing's Eddie Hearn has shed light on what we can expect.
Speaking to iFL TV, Hearn said: "If you go based on conversations, we should have three or four slots on the undercard.
"If you go on what might end up rolling out, who knows?
"I don't know what people have been promised. We were told, as were Goldstar, that we'll all be working together on the undercard."
When questioned by iFL TV's Colm McGuigan on potential fights he'd like to see on the Fury vs Joshua undercard, he responded:
Abdullah Mason vs Joe Cordina. Tremendous fight. It's an absolute natural fight.
- Eddie Hearn (iFL TV)
"They want American stars on this card for Netflix. Abdullah Mason, one of the top, young, American stars, right? Joe Cordina, two-time world champion from Cardiff, right?
"The fight was supposed to happen four months ago. That would be a fantastic fight."
Cordina is currently signed to Hearn's Matchroom and is yet to return to the ring since overcoming Gabriel Flores Jr. via unanimous decision in December 2025.
Mason's WBO lightweight belt was set to be on the line when the two were scheduled to fight in July (before Cordina withdrew due to visa issues) and so you'd suspect that the strap would be up for grabs if terms can be agreed over a fight in the Welsh capital.
Hearn also claimed that he'd have no difficulty making a blockbuster heavyweight fight that has gained traction in recent weeks.
What about a little Andy Ruiz against Dave Allen?
- Eddie Hearn (iFL TV)
'The White Rhino' has become quite the fan favourite since overcoming Johnny Fisher in May 2025, earning him shots at highly-rated heavyweights Arslanbek Makhmudov and Filip Hrgovic.
He's admittedly come short when up against the elite, but a clash with former world champion Ruiz -- who looked sluggish in his return defeat against Damian Knyba -- is an interesting prospect.
Hearn specified that, while it's a fight that could well feature on the Fury vs Joshua undercard, it would produce huge numbers headlining a standalone card.
He added: "We might do that as a standalone. It's a fight I'd actually like to bring to Sheffield Arena. I think it's a bizarre fight, but I think it's one that does really, really well."
