Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City all chasing move for wantaway Manchester United goalkeeper

All three promoted Premier League clubs are reportedly targeting Manchester United goalkeeper Radek Vitek.

Vitek spent last season in the Championship on loan at Bristol City and earned rave reviews for his performances as the Robins ultimately secured a mid-table finish under interim manager Roy Hodgson.

The 22-year-old made 41 appearances in all competitions during his time at Ashton Gate, keeping 12 clean sheets.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, he has attracted the attention of Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City - with all three clubs looking to bolster their goalkeeping options after returning to the top flight.

United are unlikely to sanction another loan for the highly-rated shot-stopper, with Vitek having two years remaining on the new contract he signed before leaving for Bristol last summer.

Vitek is also said to be determined to continue to play first team football, a prospect that is unlikely at Old Trafford - particularly with the club reportedly interested in signing a new goalkeeper in the coming weeks to provide backup to Senne Lammens.

United have been linked with moves for Sam Johnstone and Karl Darlow from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United respectively, with both Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana expected to leave this summer if suitable moves can be found.

As such the club may be reluctantly forced to let the Czech youth international leave Old Trafford on a permanent deal unless a new contract at United can be signed.

Vitek joined United as a teenager in 2020, having initially played youth football for Czech side Sigma Olomouc.

He made his first senior appearances on loan at League Two side Accrington Stanley in 2024, after joining the club on loan in the winter window.

The following season the 6ft 6in goalkeeper joined FC Blau-Weiss Linz in the Austrian top flight, where he made 28 appearances in all competitions as the club qualified for the Championship Round before ultimately finishing sixth.
