Scotland face Brazil in Miami on Wednesday night, with both teams needing a result.
Scotland might have hoped to be facing a weakened Brazil side heading into their final group match, however, Ancelotti's side need to win -- possibly in convincing fashion -- if they wish to top Group C.
Selecao will face-off against the runner-up in Group F in the round of 32 should they pip Morocco to top spot and, given their likely opponents are either Japan or Sweden, they will want to get the job done tonight.
For Scotland, their position is much more precarious. The eight-best third-place teams will reach the round of 32, and three points might be enough to get there regardless of goal difference. Four points will assure the Tartan Army a place in the knockout stage, but a heavy defeat, which would impact their goal difference, will leave Steve Clarke's men sweating.
With Brazil still needing a win to top the group, Carlo Ancelotti has named a strong side.
Bournemouth's Rayan comes in for his first-ever World Cup start in place of Raphinha whilst there is a place on the bench for Neymar.
The former Barcelona and Paris-Saint Germain winger has taken up endless column inches in recent months and may finally return to the pitch after recovering from injury.
