Brazil head to Australia and India flaunting a new-look squad after Carlo Ancelotti commenced his overhaul of the national team.
The Italian promised change following Brazil's disappointing last-16 elimination to Norway at the 2026 World Cup, where Erling Haaland's late double saw Stale Solbakken's side setup a quarter-final clash with England in Miami.
Ancelotti has looked to Brazil's next generation to inspire a new golden era with the likes of Nottingham Forest's Jair Cunha, PSV Eindhoven's Mauro Júnior and Athletico Paranaense's Arthur Dias receiving their first call-ups.
Brazil will face Australia in a double header with the Selecao facing the Socceroos on 25th September in Townsville before encountering Tony Popovic's side again in Brisbane four days later.
They will then head to Kolkata for a historic encounter against India on 3rd October.
Ancelotti has decided to completely revamp his goalkeeping department for the three friendly matches with Liverpool's Alisson Becker and former Manchester City shot-stopper Ederson not included.
Casemiro and Fabinho, who both featured at the World Cup, have been omitted, while Neymar is also not present after the all-time national team top scorer announced his retirement from international football in the summer.
Several notable figures remain, not least Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior, Barcelona's in-form Raphinha and Paris Saint-Germain captain Marquinhos, who Ancelotti cited as integral parts of his future plans.
"I chose these players -- Marquinhos, Gabriel [Magalhães], Bruno [Guimarães], Raphinha, and Vini Jr. -- to help with this change in direction. They are crucial for the future," Ancelotti said.
Chelsea's Joao Pedro was a surprise omission from Ancelotti's World Cup squad, and the forward was set to return to the fold until he sustained a knee injury which has prevented him from joining up with the national team.
Ancelotti was also forced to make a late adjustment to his squad as Monaco defender Vanderson was drafted in to replace Wesley, who suffered an injury during Roma's 2-2 draw with Inter.
