Preview of Group F in the 2026 World Cup, featuring Spain, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, and Cape Verde.
Spain are the heavy favorites in Group H, and should walk through the group stage relatively unfazed.
Uruguay are also a very experienced World Cup side, and should expect the finish second or even challenge for the top spot. Uruguay have won more World Cups (2) than Spain (1) in the history of the tournament.
Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde will do well to reach the knockout rounds, but Spain and Uruguay will expect it.
The most exciting players from Group H are Spain's Lamine Yamal, and Uruguay's Federico Valverde.

Spain is the early favorite to lift the 2026 World Cup in North America - and for good reason.
The No. 2 ranked team in the world has incredibly talent in all areas of the pitch. 18-year-old Lamine Yamal can carve up defenses on the right wing, while Nico Williams can do the same on the left.
Mikel Merino, Pedri, and Martin Zubimendi are arguably the best midfield trio in the world, and dominate possession of the ball. Marc Cucurella, Pau Cubarsi, and Pedro Porro are stout defenders who do a great job of protecting Unai Simon in net.
Spain are favorites to win their second World Cup after lifting the trophy for the first time in 2010.
Uruguay has been regarded as the first powerhouse soccer team in the sport's history after it won the first ever World Cup in 1930, knocking off Argentina 4-2. La Celeste also took home the championship in the 1950 World Cup where they upset the hosts, Brazil, 2-1.
Former Argentina national team manager Marcelo Bielsa was hired to lead Uruguay in 2023, and will lead the team into the World Cup. Bielsa became only the second non-Uruguayan to be appointed as the manager of the Uruguay national team.
Uruguay are led by Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde, and Al-Hilal forward Darwin Nunez. Inter Miami veteran and Uruguay's all-time leading scoring Luis Suarez could also appear for Bielsa this summer at 39-years-old.
Saudi Arabia have qualified for their seventh World Cup in the last eight tournaments. The Saudi's famously defeated the eventual champions, Argentina, in their first match of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but still managed to be eliminated in the group stage.
The only time that Saudi Arabia have reached the knockout rounds was their first ever World Cup appearance in 1994 in the United States.
The 2026 team is led by 33-year-old winger Salem Al-Dawsari, who scored against Argentina in 2022, and RC Lens fullback Saud Abdulhamid.
Cape Verde made history by qualifying for their first ever World Cup, and are the third smallest nation to ever qualify for a World Cup with a population of roughly 520,000, behind Curacao and Iceland.
Cape Verde will be playing in their first World Cup under head coach Bubista, who has been in charge since 2020.
The African island nation are led by defenders Wagner Pina, Logan Costa, and Steven Moreira.
