Jeremiyah Love is the best running back in the 2026 NFL Draft and several teams would gladly select the Notre Dame star with their first pick.
Love was the leader of a very talented running back duo that included Jadarian Price who is getting some end-of-the first round hype.
Love is a true three-down back: He has the strength and vision to get 20+ carries a game while also being someone who can take it 80 yards to the house with his elite 4.36 speed.
Even on passing downs, Love has shown a terrific ability to be a dynamic pass catching running back. He can be a checkdown option and a target who can run routes out of the backfield or slot.
The Notre Dame great finished with the most rushing yards in the country out of backs with less than 200 carries and finished eighth overall with 1,372 rush yards.
He was third in rushing touchdowns with 18 and put up three more as a receiver.
Love is getting serious top-ten hype - a rarity for running backs nowadays. Let's take a look at the odds for X team to select the do-it-all back:

The Chiefs, Titans, and Commanders are all +350 to select Love.
The Titans have the fourth overall pick, the Commanders have No. 6, and the Chiefs pick at No. 9.
The young duo of Cam Ward and Love would lead the Titans offense for the foreseeable future and it could make them a terrific, balanced offense, though Tennessee has larger holes to worry about on the offensive line and defense before picking a running back.
Jayden Daniels plus Love would create plenty of stressors for a defense as both are threats to run the ball at an elite level.
If Washington wants to go all in on a great rushing offense, selecting Love could be the choice.
The Chiefs missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014, largely due to their lackluster offense.
Outside of Kareem Hunt's early tenure with Kansas City and Isiah Pacheco's 2023 season, the Chiefs have struggled to run the ball with much efficiency.
Adding Love could add an element to this Patrick Mahomes-led offense that defenses aren't yet accustomed to.
The Saints (+450) are picking at No. 8 as oddsmakers are showing that it's likely Love gets picked within the 4-9 range.
Alvin Kamara will be entering his age-31 season and has dealt with plenty of injuries, so New Orleans could look to replace him with Love.
The Cardinals +800 could look to add a dynamic playmaker to their offense, but they should figure out their quarterback and offensive line situation first.
The Giants (+1200) and Jets (+2000) are each picking in the top five. After franchise tagging Breece Hall, it would be hard to imagine the Jets selecting Love.
The Giants could look to pair Malik Nabers and Jaxson Dart with Love after Cam Skattebo suffered a brutal knee injury last year.
The final three teams in the top-ten, the Vikings (+2200), Cowboys (+3000), and Panthers (+3300) would most likely have to trade up ahead of Kansas City to select Love.
