The Cleveland Guardians look to even the series at home when they take on the Chicago White Sox in an early evening game.
Chicago used a massive home run from star rookie Munetaka Murakami to go ahead 2-0 in the fourth inning of Game 1, and they never looked back, eventually winning 3-0.
The Sox have yet to lose in the playoffs after they swept the Houston Astros in the Wild Card series and took Game 1 in Cleveland on Saturday. While their offense is dangerous, the somewhat-questionable pitching staff has done a tremendous job at limiting runs. They've only given up six runs in 27 innings and shut out the Guardians last game.
Murakami and Colson Montgomery have each hit home runs this postseason and its no surprise that they're at the top of the home run oddsboard for tonight's game.
Cleveland's offense is looking for more from all their hitters, but especially Jo Adell who went 0-4 with 4 K's in Game 1. He, along with Nathaniel Lowe, were the Guards' big pickups at the trade deadline this year, and they'll need to step it up in Game 2.
Guardians ace Gavin Williams is on the mound for Cleveland, while Anthony Kay will take the bump for Chicago. Williams has unreal stuff and strikes out tons of hitters, but he's susceptible to hanging something and giving up a couple long balls. Kay will most likely pitch two-to-three innings before the Sox enter their bullpen.
First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. ET at Progressive Field. Check out the batting props below, with odds provided by bet365.
