Ilia Topuria to win by KO, TKO or DQ (-225)

Topuria (17-0-0) is expected to reunify his title inside the distance against Gaethje (27-5-0) in the main event.

Topuria won the 155lb belt after knocking out Charles Oliveira last summer, with an interim belt introduced after taking a brief hiatus from the sport to sort out some personal issues.

The Spaniard moved up from featherweight, where he had a two-fight run as champion, stopping both Max Holloway (TKO- R3) and Alexander Volkanovski (TKO - R2).

Unbeaten as a professional, Topuria has seen six of his nine UFC wins come via KO/TKO, with one via submission, while only his 2020 debut has gone the distance.

Gaethje arrives here after defeating Paddy Pimblett in January for the interim strap, in what was a chaotic five-round war.

Previously an interim champion in 2020, the American has fought for the unified title twice, submitted both times, by Khabib Nurmagomedov and Charles Oliveira respectivley.

The 37-year-old knocked out Dustin Poirier with a second-round headkick to win the BMF title in 2023, before being knocked out in the final second of the fight at UFC 300 against Holloway.

Ultimately, this fight is likely to be won in the stand-up, where Topuria's elite boxing and footwork clashes with Gaethje's often kill or be killed style.

Both have lesser seen wrestling backgrounds, which could come into play, however, we expect Topuria to set traps and exploit Gaethje's willingness to engage and execute a finish within the distance.

It is some feat for Topuria to have finished three modern day UFC greats in a row in Oliveira, Holloway and Volkanovski inside the distance.

Despite not being the most imposing figure with his 5'7" frame, the Spanish fighter carries exceptional power, along with elite timing.

Gaethje is one of the toughest fighters on the roster, but ultimately takes too much damage, almost twice as much as his opponent.

Topuria is the most likely to win and could well find a finish in the first half of this contest.
