Tyler Herro: Injury Update & Potential Return Dates for Miami Heat Guard

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro hasn't played in a game since January 15th and has no real timeline set to return.

We'll take a look at the latest updates surrounding his injury and the potential dates for when the former Kentucky Wildcat could return.

Herro has dealt with several ailments this year to his ankle, toe, and now his ribs. He's only played in 11 games and was rumored to be potentially moved at the trade deadline, but the Heat held on to him and want him back on the court.

Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel reported that "everyone but Herro [ribs] is traveling for the Heat's two-game road trip to Boston and Washington."

It isn't great news for Herro who is dealing with costochondral issues in his ribs, basically meaning that his ribs are inflamed and in pain.

When Could Tyler Herro Return to the Court?

With no set timetable for Herro's return, it's hard to determine a potential date for when he could be back on the court.

The All-Star break, taking place from Feb. 12 to Feb. 19 for the Heat will be a good time for Herro to rest, and he could potentially return to action on Feb. 20 at Atlanta, or Feb. 21 back at home against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Herro is averaging 21.9 points per game in 31.7 minutes on the best efficiency of his career (.564 eFG%), albeit in a limited sample size.

The Heat are hovering around .500, sitting at 27-25 and are 8th in the Eastern Conference.
