The Toronto Blue Jays will need a big-time start from pitcher Trey Yesavage when they travel to Baltimore to take on the O's in a crucial three-game set.
With just six regular season games left, Toronto is three games back of the Chicago White Sox for the AL's third and final Wild Card spot, making every game a must-win from here on out.
Yesavage will make his first start since Aug. 4 and will be on a heavy pitch count in this one. Still, getting a good three-inning outing of him will be key.
The starter is fresh off one rehab outing in Triple-A Buffalo in which he threw just 0.2 innings and allowed two runs, but with the season coming down to the wire in Toronto, plus an injury to Shane Bieber, they chose to bring up Yesavage.
