The official roster for every country's World Baseball Classic team will be released on Feb. 5, though the USA has several commitments from some of the top players in MLB already.
The US still has six spots to fill, but most of the roster is set. Let's take a look at the players that will be competing at the 2026 WBC for Team USA:
Cal Raleigh (SEA Mariners)
Will Smith (LA Dodgers)
Alex Bregman (3B, CHI Cubs)
Ernie Clement (INF, TOR Blue Jays)
Gunnar Henderson (SS, BAL Orioles)
Brice Turang (2B, MIL Brewers)
Bobby Witt Jr. (SS, KC Royals)
Byron Buxton (MIN Twins)
Corbin Carroll (ARI Diamondbacks)
Pete Crow-Armstrong (CHI Cubs)
Aaron Judge (NY Yankees)
Kyle Schwarber (PHI Phillies)
Tarik Skubal (DET Tigers)
Paul Skenes (PIT Pirates)
Logan Webb (SF Giants)
Clayton Kershaw (retired from MLB)
Joe Ryan (MIN Twins)
Nolan McLean (NY Mets)
David Bednar (NY Yankees)
Clay Holmes (NY Mets)
Griffin Jax (MIN Twins)
Brad Keller (PHI Phillies)
Mason Miller (SD Padres)
Gabe Speier (SEA Mariners)
Bobby Witt Jr. (SS)
Aaron Judge (RF)
Kyle Schwarber (DH)
Cal Raleigh (C)
?? (1B)
Alex Bregman (3B)
Gunnar Henderson (2B)
Corbin Carroll (LF)
Pete Crow-Armstrong (CF)
Starting Pitcher: Paul Skenes
This may be the best roster Team USA has ever fielded.
Featuring three of the top-four vote getters for AL MVP last year (Judge, Raleigh, Witt), and the two Cy Young award winners from each league (Skubal and Skenes), this team has it all.
Speed and terrific fielding at the top and bottom of the order, with unbelievable power in the middle will make the US hard to shut down. Team USA still needs to figure out who will start at first base but ,one of Bryce Harper or Pete Alonso would make the lineup even more dangerous.
In the 2023 WBC, the US came up just short of a championship after Shohei Ohtani and Japan defeated the Americans in the final 3-2.
In 2026, Team USA will look for revenge and will hope to make it back to loanDepot Park in Miami where the championship game will be held once again.
