Two teams who are hoping for a sharper Week 2 game compared to Week 1 - Oregon and Oklahoma State - square off in Stillwater this Saturday.
In Week 1, Boise State hung in with the Ducks in Eugene until the 4th and Tulsa embarrassed the Cowboys last week in head coach Eric Morris' and quarterback Drew Mestemaker's debut.
There are certainly some positives for Oregon fans to take away from their Week 1 victory - Boise State is most likely the best Group of 6 team, and Dante Moore showed that his arm has the talent to make himself the No. 1 overall pick in April.
Unfortunately for Oklahoma State, Week 1 was a disaster. Morris, Mestemaker, and plenty more former North Texas Mean Green made their anticipated debut in Stillwater as 13.5 point favorites against Tulsa and lost 24-10.
Mestemaker threw the ball 49 times but only had 241 yards, a touchdown, and turned the ball over three times. After throwing for an FBS-high 4,379 yards and 34 touchdowns last year, fans were looking for more. He'll definitely improve throughout the season as he gets used to Power 4 play, but Oregon will be a massive test for the redshirt sophomore.
