After a high-scoring draw in midweek on the road, Inter Miami are back at Nu Stadium on Saturday bidding to snap a two-game home losing streak as they face Toronto FC.
The Herons have lost to Monterrey and Club Leon in the Leagues Cup and, coupled with defeat at Nashville FC and the midweek 2-2 draw at Philadelphia Union, Guillermo Hoyos has watched his side go four games without a victory.
Toronto are not exactly on a hot streak themselves, with just one victory in their last 15 games, while they have never won in seven previous visits to Fort Lauderdale, though this is their first time running out at Nu Stadium to face Inter.
With neither side exactly presenting in great form, this is perhaps tougher to call than the odds suggest.
Inter are -300 to get the win, but that is unappealing for a side who have conceded 15 goals in its last six games, failing to earn any clean sheets in that sequence.
They have also scored 12 times during that run and so goals appear almost assured. Inter shared four with the Union in midweek, with the hosts denied a winner via an offside flag before both teams had a man sent off in stoppage time.
Toronto were also involved in a midweek goal-fest as they drew 3-3 at home to Charlotte, with the Reds doing well to battle back from a 1-3 deficit, having had Walker Zimmerman sent off early in the second half.
Both teams have scored in Toronto's last four MLS games and that trend may continue here, albeit in a losing effort.
Goals may well flow but corners appear less certain. Toronto managed six in that home draw with Charlotte but, before that, they had just seven in three games.
Inter only took a single corner against Philadelphia, with four before that in Nashville and five in their previous MLS game against Columbus Crew at the start of the month.
The previous meeting of these sides in Toronto in May produced six goals as Inter Miami won 4-2 at BMO Field, but there were just eight corners across the 90 minutes.
Less than 10 seems like a good number here.
There is no shortage of attacking talent on show and we are anticipating both sides having a go to win here.
Despite their poor win-ratio, Toronto are just three points back of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and they know a positive result here would be huge.
Dayne St. Clair in the Miami goal has made 14 saves across his last three games for the Herons and the Canadian international could be busy again now if retaining the gloves.
Rocco Novo Rios was left out in midweek but he, too, has been worked in recent games, making 11 stops in his last four starts.
