The Milwaukee Brewers franchise was founded in 1969 as the Seattle Pilots, an expansion team in the American League. After the first season, the team relocated to Milwaukee and became the Brewers in 1970.
They played in the American League from 1969-1997 before moving to the National League in 1998.
The Brewers are in the NL Central Division, they compete against the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
