Los Angeles Angels: Team Profile

Established in 1961 as an expansion team, the Angels became the first Major League Baseball team established in California and have since built a loyal fan base across the West Coast.

The franchise reached its greatest achievement in 2002 when the club won its first World Series title after defeating the San Francisco Giants in a dramatic seven-game series.

The Angels have been home to some of baseball's biggest names, including Nolan Ryan, Vladmir Guerrero, and Mike Trout.

Entering a new chapter, the Angels continue searching for a return to postseason contention in the competitive American League West division. With a blend of veteran leadership and developing young talent the Angels continue to strive towards success.

The LA Angels are in the AL West division where they compete against the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, Athletics, and Houston Astros.
