American tennis star Jessica Pegula will be back in the third round of the Wimbledon Championships, facing off against Spanish player, Jessica Bouzas.
Jessica Pegula is currently the No. 4 ranked women's tennis player in the world according to WTA.com.
Pegula, 32, is enjoying an excellent start to 2026, winning two individual titles and losing just eight of her 39 matches. The American has never won a Grand Slam in her career, but did reach the semifinals of the Australian Open earlier this year, and could due for her best finish at the Wimbledon Championships.
2026 is Pegula's eighth time competing at Wimbledon, with her best finish coming in 2023 when she lost to Marketa Vondrousova in the quarterfinals.
Pegula will face 23-year-old Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, who is the 52nd ranked women's tennis player according to WTA.com.
Pegula vs. Bouzas will be the second match on Court 2, on Friday, July 3rd.
