Cincinnati Open: Schedule, Draw, and How to Watch

The Cincinnati ATP Masters 1000 is set to light up the summer tennis calendar once again, bringing its signature blend of high-stakes action and thrilling matchups to the American hard courts.

From the qualifying rounds to the final, here are all the key dates for the prestigious event.

The tennis season continues its relentless pace, with the ATP Tour making its stop in Cincinnati from August 13th to the 23rd. As a Masters 1000 event, it is one of the most significant tournaments on the circuit, surpassed only by the Grand Slams and the ATP Finals.

The 2026 tournament marks the 125th edition of one of the oldest events in world tennis. Spanning eleven days, it remains a cornerstone of the American hard-court season.

Traditionally, Cincinnati serves as the final major tune-up before the US Open, giving the world's top players a crucial opportunity to fine-tune their game ahead of the Grand Slam in New York.

2026 Cincinnati ATP Masters 1000: Schedule

The tournament officially kicks off on Tuesday, August 11th, with the first qualifying matches, which will continue through the following day. While the top-seeded players will not be in action yet, these two days offer a great chance to get into the rhythm of the tournament.

The men's main draw begins on Thursday, August 13th. The first-round matches are scheduled over two days, Thursday and Friday, followed by the second round on Saturday, August 15th, and Sunday, August 16th.

The Round of 32, which corresponds to the third round in tennis, is slated for August 17th and 18th.

From there, the tournament enters its decisive phase. The Round of 16 will be played on August 19th, followed by the quarterfinals on Thursday, August 20th, and Friday, August 21st.

The men's semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, August 22nd, with the championship final taking place on Sunday, August 23rd.

Venue Information

While the event is named for Cincinnati, it is held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio, approximately twenty-two miles from the city.

The facility features four permanent show courts: Center Court (built in 1981, capacity 11,435), Grandstand Court (built in 1995, capacity 5,000), Court 3 (built in 1997, capacity 4,000), and Court 9 (capacity 2,000).

The venue is named after Carl Lindner, a local financier and former tournament sponsor.

How to Watch the Cincinnati Open

In the United States the Cincinnati Open will be broadcast on the Tennis Channel. Fans can stream the tournament on Fubo and DirecTV.

A Look Back at Tournament History

The 2025 edition saw Carlos Alcaraz claim the title after Jannik Sinner was forced to retire during the final. Sinner, however, remains the only Italian to have ever won the Cincinnati Open, thanks to his historic 2024 victory over Frances Tiafoe.

That win broke a long drought for Italian players at a tournament that had never before crowned a champion from Italy.

The all-time record for titles in Cincinnati belongs to Roger Federer, who has lifted the trophy an incredible five times. The tournament boasts a rich history, with its first edition held way back in 1899.

Originally called the Cincinnati Open, the "Open" designation signified that the competition was open to players from outside the city. Over the years, the event evolved, occasionally changing locations before settling permanently in Mason in 1979.
