American tennis stars Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff will face each other in the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon Championships on Tuesday, July 7th.
Jessica Pegula is currently the No. 4 ranked women's tennis player in the world will take on No. 7 ranked Coco Gauff in the Wimbledon quarterfinals.
Despite not yet winning a Grand Slam in her career, Pegula is the favorite heading into this match against Gauff, who has US Open (2023) and French Open (2025) titles on her resume.
Pegula, 32, is enjoying an excellent start to 2026, winning two individual titles and losing just eight of her 39 matches. 2026 is Pegula's eighth time competing at Wimbledon, with her best finish coming in 2023 when she lost to Marketa Vondrousova in the quarterfinals.
This will be Gauff’s first quarterfinal appearance at Wimbledon and grass is not her most favored surface, based on the fact she has never reached a final on grass.
Pegula has reached three WTA Tour finals on grass, winning the 2024 German Open and the 2025 Bad Homburg Open, while losing in the 2026 German Open. Having narrowly missed out on a second success in Germany, Pegula went into Wimbledon in strong form and she has dropped just one set in four matches.
Pegula vs. Gauff will be the first match on Center Court on Tuesday, July 7th, beginning at 8:30 AM EST.
The 2026 Wimbledon Championships will be primarily broadcast on ESPN, with streaming on ESPN+ for viewers in the United States.
