Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic Prediction, Pick & Odds

Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic square off in a blockbuster men's semifinal at Wimbledon on Friday.

Sinner is the defending champion, while Djokovic is bidding for an eighth title at the All-England Club.

This is one semifinal matchup that everyone expected to see when the draw was revealed two weeks ago.

Neither man, though, had an easy time making it a reality. Sinner was pushed to five sets in his opening match by Miomir Kecmanovic, while Djokovic is coming off a five-set marathon against Felix Auger-Aliassime in the quarterfinals.

The result is a 12th meeting between these two rivals, and the head-to-head series could not be more competitive.

Sinner leads it 6-5 but Djokovic is ahead 2-1 at Wimbledon.

Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic betting picks and predictions

Novak Djokovic +5.5 games (-125)

He may no longer be in his prime at 39 years old, but Djokovic is proving time and again that he remains one of the best players on tour – especially at Grand Slams.

Based on the extreme odds, there is no doubt that Djokovic holds the betting value in this matchup.

The Serb boasts an unbelievable 107-13 lifetime record at Wimbledon and is not slowing down one bit in this particular location, winning 49 of his last 52 matches.

Djokovic was tested by Auger-Aliassime on Wednesday, but he came through that epic contest 7-6(10) 3-6 6-3 6-7(4) 7-6(10-4) after five hours and 15 minutes.

Will fatigue be an issue on the heels of that effort? Maybe, but keep in mind that Djokovic has two days off in between matches – not one.

With opponents perhaps holding more belief following Sinner’s early exit from the French Open, the Italian has not been his typically dominant self this fortnight.

He has not dropped a set since his first-round scare against Kecmanovic, but he has been pushed to four more tiebreakers – two by Nuno Borges in the second round.

Sinner took care of Jan-Lennard Struff in the quarterfinals without having to work overtime, but the 7-5 7-6(4), 6-3 scoreline was by no means routine.

In addition to having won two of three meetings with Sinner at the All-England Club, Djokovic also got the best of their most recent encounter, winning in five sets in the Australian Open semifinals at the beginning of 2026.

 Over 37.5 games (-120)

More than in the other three Grand Slams, Wimbledon matches are generally long and competitive.

The margins are simply smaller on grass, as it is easier to hold serve and force tiebreakers. That is good news for underdogs and less so for favorites, so this is another case in which it correlates nicely with the over on total games and the game spread for Djokovic.

As mentioned earlier, Djokovic is coming off a five-set thriller against Auger-Aliassime that lasted 57 games.

The seventh seed also played four-setters against Yibing Wu, Arthur Rinderknech and Roman Safiullin.

Sinner has battled through one five-setter, in addition to a handful of other tiebreakers.

These two rivals have already squared off in one five-set match at Wimbledon, when Djokovic prevailed in the 2023 semifinals before losing in five sets to Carlos Alcaraz in the championship match.

Their most recent meeting in Melbourne, when Djokovic eventually edged it, also bodes well for another competitive contest developing in London.

Over 0.5 tiebreakers (-110)

Sinner and Djokovic have played at least one tiebreaker in five of their last nine encounters, including two in a three-set match at the 2023 Nitto ATP Finals.

Of their three previous Wimbledon showdowns, one went to five sets and the other produced a third-set tiebreaker.

Djokovic has played five tiebreakers in his past three rounds, including three against Auger-Aliassime in the quarterfinals.

Sinner has been extended to at least one tiebreaker in four of his five matches at the All-England Club.
