The WNBA's 30th annual season tips off on Friday, where the Las Vegas Aces begin their quest win a historic fourth championship in the last five years.
Last year, the Aces knocked off the Indiana Fever in the WNBA semifinals en route to sweeping the Phoenix Mercury in the Finals.
The semifinal series vs. the Fever was a tremendous one. It went five games, with the win-or-go home Game 5 going to overtime.
The Fever, of course, were without their star Caitlin Clark. She sharpshooter was limited to just 13 games last year, dealing injuries to her groin and ankle.
Regardless, the Fever improved as a team without Clark in 2025. They went 24-20, four wins better than Clark's rookie 2024 season.
Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston, and Lexie Hull all stepped up in a major way, and all three are back with the Fever for 2026. With Clark feeling healthy and ready to go to start the season, there's plenty of excitement in Indianapolis surrounding their WNBA team.
The Fever added Monique Billings, Myisha Hines-Allen, Raven Johnson, and more in the offseason for depth, while Mitchell and Boston each got extensions.
Indiana will open the 2026 season against Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd, and the rest of the Dallas Wings. In the preseason, Clark and Bueckers went head-to-head, with each scoring 20+, so it should be an electric start to the season.
Ahead of that game, let's take a look at the Fever's odds to win the championship, their win total number, and more on bet365:
