Coco Gauff will face Elina Svitolina in the Italian Open Women's Singles Final on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM ET.
American tennis star Coco Gauff is on the verge of the reaching the Italian Open final for the second time in two years, but is out to redeem herself after falling in the 2025 final to hometown champion, Jasmine Paolini.
Gauff will face 31-year-old Elina Svitolina across the net, a woman who is chasing her third third WTA Rome Championship, and first since 2018.
Svitolina leads the all-time series with three wins to Gauff's two. Svitolina has also defeated Gauff twice already in 2026 (Dubai Semifinals & Australian Open Quarterfinals), but the young American will be hungry to tie up the head-to-head record in the Italian Open Final this Saturday.
Gauff, 22, is the No. 4 ranked women's tennis player in the world according the WTA.com. She is 8-2 on clay courts this season, and has won five straight matches in the Italian Open to reach the final.
Coco Gauff is playing well heading into the Roland Garros French Open, the premier tennis tournament on a clay court.
Gauff vs. Svitolina in the Italian Open Final will start at 9:00 AM ET / 8:00 AM CT / 6:00 AM PT on Saturday, May 16 from Campo Centrale in Rome, Italy.
The Italian Open Final will be broadcast on the Tennis Channel in the US, available via cable and live streaming services such as YouTube TV. It will also be available to stream on the Tennis Channel App and WTA TV.
The women's singles champion will receive roughly $1.23 million in prize money.
The runner-up will receive $640,000.
