With Kyle Tucker, Pete Alonso, Alex Bregman, and Kyle Schwarber all signed to their respective teams, Bichette may be the best hitter left available.
The 27-year-old has led the league in hits twice and finished in third place last year even though he missed 23 games. Overall on the year he slashed .311/.357/.483, blasted 18 home runs, and drove in 94 runs.
After missing the ALDS and ALCS with his injury, Bichette returned in a big way in the World Series, racking up eight hits in 23 at bats including a massive three-run homer early in Game 7.
From an advanced stats perspective, Bichette finished with 3.8 fWAR and was in the 86th percentile in batting run value, according to baseball savant. On the other hand, his -13 outs above average number was in the 1st percentile meaning he was one of the worst defenders in the sport last year.
Still, having enough talent to play a position in the middle of the field is valuable and gives teams defensive versatility, even if he becomes mostly a second baseman or DH for the rest of his career.
Bichette is one of the best hitters in the sport and rarely strikes out with his supreme bat-to-ball skills. His offensive production will garner a massive contract despite the injury history. According to ESPN's contract projection, Bichette could see a deal similar to the seven-year, $182 million contract Giants shortstop Willy Adames received last offseason.
Here's a look at the top-ten favorites to sign the talented Bichette, with odds provided by bet365:

The Phillies (-125) have jumped up the odds board to become the favorite after opening at +2500. Philadelphia managed to re-sign top free agent Kyle Schwarber, but are still looking to add more talent to get over the top in the NL.
The Blue Jays are next at +110 to re-sign Bichette. They have an opening in the middle of the field and could move Andres Gimenez to short if they are uncomfortable with Bichette playing there.
Two other AL East teams are next with the Red Sox being +850 and Yankees at +900. After missing out on re-signing Bregman, Bichette may be at the top of their list. Similarly, if the Yankees choose to trade Jazz Chisholm Jr., Bichette will likely be at the top of their list.
The Braves, Cubs, and Tigers are all +2500 to sign the slugger as the Braves and Tigers each have a large hole at a middle-infield position.
The Padres (+3000), Dodgers (+3300), and Rockies (+4000) round out the list. The Padres are hoping to finally break through in the NL, and the signing of Bichette would certainly help.
The Dodgers just signed Tucker to a four-year, $240 million contract, but with no salary cap in MLB, they can keep spending if they want to.
The Rockies are most likely up there due to his Denver connection when he grew up in the city while watching his father, Dante, play. It's hard to fathom Colorado making a move like this or Bichette accepting their deal, though the new GM Pete DePodesta could look to make a splash signing.
