Los Angeles Dodgers Outlook After Signing Kyle Tucker: Potential Lineup + 2026 World Series Odds

In a splash signing, the Los Angeles Dodgers have made outfielder Kyle Tucker the second-highest paid baseball player in MLB history on a per year basis, only second to his teammate Shohei Ohtani.

We'll take a look at the Dodgers potential starting lineup for the 2026 MLB season as well as the odds for them to win the World Series below.

Tucker received a four-year, $240 million deal in which he'll get paid $60,000,000 annually. He has an opt-out clause after the 2027 offseason and 2028 offseason before becoming an unrestricted free agent after the 2029 season.

The 28-year-old slugger racked up a 4.5 fWAR as he hit .266 with a .841 OPS and 22 home runs in 136 games as a Chicago Cub last season.

Tucker had seven years of MLB experience with the Houston Astros before he was traded to Chicago for Isaac Paredes, Hayden Wesneski and Cam Smith.

An All-Star in each of the last four seasons, Tucker provides yet another terrific bat in a lineup filled with superstars already.

Tucker adds to the Dodgers now $2.1 billion guaranteed payroll for the roster this season, per Spotrac. They also signed top closing pitcher Edwin Diaz to a three-year, $69 million deal in November.

By comparison, second on the list is the San Diego Padres at $1.2 billion and Tampa Bay is 30th at $70 million.

As long as there is no salary cap, the Dodgers will continue their unmatched dominance in the free agent market.
