The Atlanta Falcons make Bijan Robinson the highest paid running back in the NFL with massive three-year extension.
Bijan Robinson is now officially the highest-paid running back in the NFL which could be worth up to $75 million dollars, and includes $51 million guaranteed. The Atlanta Falcons exercised Robinson's fifth-year rookie option last week to act as a placeholder while the two sides were working on the deal.
Last season, Robinson led the NFL with 2,298 yards from scrimmage, with 1,478 rushing yards and 820 receiving yards. The 24-year-old has also been incredibly reliable early in his career, playing all 17 games in three professional seasons, and the Falcons are banking on that staying true for the next three years.
Atlanta have now locked up the First Team All-Pro running back for their new head coach Kevin Stefanski, who will only have to worry about what quarterback is handing off the ball to their elite offensive weapon.
Bijan Robinson's Contract Details
The Falcons signed Robinson to a three-year, $66.75 million extension that could reach $75 million if he secures the maximum incentives. The deal will kick in ahead of the 2028 season.
The new deal includes $51 million guaranteed, $37 million guaranteed at signing, and he will make an average annual salary of $22.25 million per year.
2026 will be the last year of Robinson's rookie contract, where he'll make a base salary of 1,145,000. His fifth-year rookie option which was picked up will earn Bijan a base salary of 11,323,000 during the 2027 season.
