Maxx Crosby is back in trade rumors as training camp begins for the Raiders.
Earlier this offseason, the Las Vegas Raiders traded Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for two first-round picks. However, Baltimore withdrew from the trade after Crosby reportedly failed his medical examination with the team.
Now, with every team back in training camp, Maxx Crosby remains the most prominent asset on the trade market, and multiple teams are likely to bid for the five-time Pro Bowler.
Crosby is present in Las Vegas for the Raiders' training camp and is expected to play in Week 1, regardless of which team he's on. If there is one thing that defines Crosby, it is his relentless effort. He arrives early to practice and plays nearly every snap of every game.
The 28-year-old has played in 110 of a possible 117 games in his seven-year career, recording 69.5 sacks. To showcase his incredible motor, 22.5 of those sacks have come in the fourth quarter.
The Raiders would love to retain Crosby for the 2026 season, but if they receive an offer they cannot refuse, Crosby could find himself on a new team to start the campaign.
Maxx Crosby's Trade Value
The Raiders sought a massive package earlier this off-season and reached an agreement with the Ravens before the deal was voided due to a failed medical. The Raiders had accepted two first-round picks for their star edge rusher, but following the failed medical in Baltimore, that asking price could decrease.
Given Crosby's reliability, he will still command a significant package, potentially including a first-round pick, additional later-round picks, and an established NFL talent.
Trade Candidates for Maxx Crosby
Dallas Cowboys
One team that was interested in Maxx Crosby before his failed deal with the Ravens was the Dallas Cowboys. It was reported that Dallas offered a package including a first-round pick, a second-round pick, and other assets.
Jerry Jones has stated that he remains interested in the pass rusher and is open to trading future first-round picks for a star player to bolster the Cowboys' defence.
Just last year, the Cowboys traded Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark. They then traded for Quinnen Williams in exchange for Mazi Smith, a 2027 first-round pick, and a 2026 second-round pick. Both deals drastically changed the Cowboys' defence, and adding Crosby to that mix could make the defensive line in Dallas truly formidable.
Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears are another team rumoured to be interested in Crosby.
The Bears are an emerging Super Bowl contender in the NFC and possess the draft capital to secure a deal for Crosby, which would elevate their ceiling even further.
San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers are another team on the verge of competing for a Super Bowl, but they reside in the highly competitive NFC West.
If we consider a hypothetical scenario where the Los Angeles Rams traded for reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett, such a move could provide the motivation San Francisco needs to invest future draft capital in an elite edge rusher.
To facilitate this, San Francisco could offer young edge rusher Mykel Williams to sweeten a deal with Las Vegas, similar to how the Rams sent Jared Verse to the Cleveland Browns in the Garrett trade.
