Las Vegas Aces' superstar A'ja Wilson has won her record fifth MVP award and became the first WNBA player to win three MVPs in a row after another dominant season.
Wilson, still just 30 years old, has won MVP in each of the 2020, 2022, 2024, 2025, and 2026 seasons. This year, she averaged 26.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game while carrying elite shooting splits of 52/40/86 from the floor.
She became the first WNBA player to average 25 points and shoot 50% from the floor and 40% from three in a single season, per ESPN's Shams Charania. Her 26.2 points per game average is the second highest in league history, coming just short of her 2024 season in which she averaged 26.9 points.
Her newest accolade supplants herself as the undisputed GOAT of the WNBA in her ninth season. Along with the five MVPs, she's also claimed three Defensive Player of the Year trophies (2022, 2023, 2025) and is a three-time champion (2022, 2023, 2025).
Wilson's work in the mid-range, post, and around the basket have made her almost impossible to guard, and her uptick in three-point attempts and percentage make her even more of a nightmare. Simply put, no one has matched her size and talent combo in the league's history.
The Aces are on a quest to win their fourth championship in franchise history, though they'll need to win three games in a row to advance to the WNBA Finals after falling in an 0-2 hole against the Golden State Valkyries. After Wilson put up 36+ in two of three games against the Indiana Fever in the first round, the Valks have done a nice job limiting her impact - she's scored 24 in both games so far.
Currently stuck in that 0-2 hole, Wilson and the Aces are +800 to win the WNBA championship as of Oct. 8.
