A'ja Wilson Sets a New WNBA Record Fastest to 6,000 Points

A'ja Wilson is currently in her ninth season with the Las Vegas Aces, in last night's game against the Seattle Storm history was made.

On June 8, 2026, A'ja Wilson became the fastest WNBA player in history to reach 6,000 career points.

She recorded 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists, helping secure a 101-91 victory over the Seattle Storm on Monday night.

A'ja Wilson has broken the record previously held by the former Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi. Wilson reached the 6,000 point mark in 278 games - thirteen fewer than Tauarsi (291).

History in the making

Wilson's career has been full of milestones, in 2025 she was named the first WNBA Co-Defensive Player of the Year.

Not only does she have three WNBA Championships with the Las Vegas Aces, but is the only player with four MVPs.

Wilson is widely considered the best WNBA player of her generation.
