Every member of the winning team has their name etched on the Cup, an accolade earned through blood, sweat, and tears.
The Carolina Hurricanes claimed the Stanley Cup in 2026, securing their second championship in franchise history and their first since 2006. Rod Brind'Amour, who captained the 2006 championship side, served as head coach when the Canes triumphed again in 2026.
Carolina defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 4-2 in the seven-game series, led by captain Jordan Staal, who scored six goals and won the Conn Smythe Trophy.

The Canes are yet again preseason contenders after lifting the Cup last year, but the Florida Panthers and Colorado Avalanche have shorter odds to win the Stanley Cup than the reigning champions.
The Panthers reached the Stanley Cup Final in three straight seasons from 2023 to 2025, and won the Cup twice against the Edmonton Oilers in 2024 and 2025. The Panthers missed the playoffs last campaign, but Aleksander Barkov missed the entire year, and Matthew Tkachuk missed over half of it with injuries. Both players should be healthy again in 2026/27, making Florida the favorites to lift the Stanley Cup for a third time in four years.
The Colorado Avalanche won the Presidents' Trophy last year with 121 points, but unfortunately fell victim to the Presidents Trophy curse and were swept by the Golden Knights in the Conference Finals.
Vegas and the Edmonton Oilers round out the top-five favorites to win the Stanley Cup in 2026/27.
