2026 Tour Championship Predictions & Best Bets

The top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings travel to East Lake for this week's season-ending Tour Championship.

East Lake has hosted the Tour Championship every year since 2004, having also held the tournament in 1998, 2000 and 2002.

Scottie Scheffler leads the rankings after yet another remarkably consistent season. Despite winning only two events, the American is 1,526 points ahead of Matt Fitzpatrick at the top of the standings.

Naturally, and despite illness, he leads the betting market at +300, while Rory McIlroy is his closest challenger at +800.

Winner here in 2025, Tommy Fleetwood is +1800 to claim his second PGA Tour title.

Tour Championship betting picks and predictions

Rory McIlroy (+800)

Rory McIlroy has been through it all across the previous two weeks. At the FedEx St. Jude Championship, he finished 66th out of a 69-man field following a torrid display.

That was his first competitive action since the Open Championship, so there was an element of rustiness to his game, but by his usual high standards it was a disappointing week.

Seven days later, the Northern Irishman came so close to sealing his 31st PGA Tour victory at the BMW Championship. He began the final round trailing Wyndham Clark by five shots, yet with three holes to go, the pair were tied at 14-under.

Clark birdied the final three holes to win the tournament, but McIlroy's ability to fight right to the end after his poor display last week proves his class.

The Irishman has won the Tour Championship on three occasions (2016, 2019 and 2022), showing he knows how to perform when it matters at East Lake.

Finishing poorly at Bellerive will have rankled the six-time major winner and this should spur him on to another victory at the season-ending finale.

Wyndham Clark (+1600)

Clark has enjoyed a glorious summer, winning three times on tour since the end of May, including a victory at the US Open.

Now a two-time major winner, at his best, few are capable of stopping him.

Indeed, even when he isn't firing on all cylinders, the American can still get the job done.

Take the final round of the BMW Championship as the perfect example. Leading by five entering Sunday, Clark's lead evaporated quickly and by the time both he and McIlroy stood on the 16th tee, the pair were tied.

Summoning the strength of a man who has been in fine form, Clark duly birdied the final three holes, while McIlroy faltered and he won by three strokes.

Clark has played the Tour Championship only twice, yet has finished third in 2023 and eighth in 2024.

That victory moved him up to third in the FedEx Cup standings, and heading to East Lake, he can be confident, having arguably been one of the most in-form players in recent months.

Gary Woodland (+5000)

Gary Woodland underwent brain surgery in September 2023. Less than three years later, he is in the field for the Tour Championship.

What a remarkable journey the former US Open champion has been on in recent years, with his best golf since the operation happening this year.

He won the Texas Children's Houston Open in March, his first win since that US Open triumph in 2019, and followed it up with four top-10 finishes across his next 12 events, including a tie for seventh at the third major of the year.

Woodland finished in a tie for fourth at the BMW Championship, a result which secured his spot at East Lake for the first time since 2019.

His record here is solid. Across seven previous appearances, he has gone 15-11-19-10-9-22-13 and there is no doubt he will be brimming with confidence this week.

Ranked sixth for Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee and for Driving Distance this year, Woodland can overpower the Atlanta layout.
