2026 Tour Championship Format
The Tour Championship is a 72-hole stroke-play event where the top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings compete at East Lake Golf Club to determine the season-long champion.
How it works
The player with the lowest score over the four rounds will win the FedEx Cup, earn a bonus of $10 million and receive a five-year tour expedition.
The Tour Championship determines the PGA Tour's season-long champion. It doesn't matter how many tournaments a player has won during the season or what their world ranking is - the only thing that matters is where their name lands on the leaderbaord come Sunday afternoon.
