Inside the 2026 Tour Championship Field

Following the conclusion of the FedEx St. Jude Championship and BMW Championships, the final playoff event of the 2026 season begins on Thursday, August 27.

The 2026 Tour Championship field is now set. The final 30 players will compete for the largest prize, with the season champion set to be crowned.

Every player has the opportunity to be crowned this year's FedEx Cup champion. The field is led by Scottie Scheffler, who won the first playoff event at FedEx St. Jude Championship just a few weeks ago.

Wyndham Clark secured his third victory of the 2026 season by winning the BMW Championship at Bellerive Country Club, holding off Rory McIlroy to secure a 3-stroke victory.

Three golfers played their way into the Tour Championship field at the BMW Championship. Gary Woodland surged from No. 31 to No. 18 with a T4 finish, it marks his first Tour Championship appearance since 2019. While Patrick Cantlay climbed from No. 43 to No. 19 after finishing solo second. Robert MacIntyre also extended his season, moving from No. 36 to No. 25 following a T7 finish.

With only the top 30 players advancing, several golfers narrowly missed the cut: Kurt Kityama finishing No. 31, J.T. Poston No. 32, Rickie Fowler No. 33, Bud Cauley No. 34, and Nicolai Hojgaard No. 35.
