The NBA's All-Star festivities are just a couple days away, and the star-studded three-point contest will feature plenty of marquee names that should make the event exciting.
The three-point contest will take place on Valentine's Day - Saturday, Feb. 14 - at 5 PM ET from the Intuit Done in Inglewood, CA.
Two-time three-point contest champ Damian Lillard is taking over headlines as he's scheduled to compete in the event despite rehabbing a torn left Achilles.
Lillard hasn't played a single minute this season, but he's got the experience to make another run for the trophy.
Also included in the field are veteran first-time All-Stars Norman Powell and Jamal Murray, as well as a sharpshooting rookie.
Let's take a look at the field and the odds associated with each player to win the three-point contest:
Damian Lillard | +350 |
Kon Knueppel | +450 |
Jamal Murray | +475 |
Norman Powell | +600 |
Tyrese Maxey | +600 |
Donovan Mitchell | +650 |
Devin Booker | +800 |
Bobby Portis | +1400 |
Lillard (+350) is the favorite to win his third three-point contest of the last four years. He would join Craig Hodges and Larry Bird as the only players in NBA history to win three three-point contests.
He won in 2023 as a Portland Trail Blazer and 2024 as a Milwaukee Buck, and he'll look to win his second contest a Blazers jersey this year.
The Hornets' fourth-overall draft pick Kon Knueppel (+450) is on pace to break the all-time rookie record for threes made in a single season, and he could become the first rookie to win the three-point contest if he catches fire on Saturday.
Denver Nuggets' star guard Jamal Murray (+475) is having a career season, averaging 26.0 points per game while shooting 43.2% from three on 7.5 attempts per game, and he finds himself as a top-three favorite to win the contest.
The Miami Heat's Norman Powell (+600), Philadelphia 76ers' Tyrese Maxey (+600), and Cleveland Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell (+650) are all within the +600-700 range. Powell competed in the tournament last year, Mitchell will make his third appearance, and Maxey will take part in it for the first time in his career.
2018 three-point contest champion Devin Booker is +800, the second-longest odds in the market. Booker has a smooth stroke that translates well to the competition, but he's only shooting 30.7% from three this year.
Milwaukee Bucks' big man Bobby Portis (+1400) has yet to compete in a three-point contest, but he's shot the three-ball at a 45.1% clip this season on 4.3 attempts per game.
