Launched in 2019 as part of Saudi Vision 2030, Riyadh Season is an annual festival organised by the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia to boost tourism and diversify the economy.
Running typically from October to March, it transforms Riyadh into a hub for entertainment, culture and sports, featuring concerts, exhibitions, and culinary events. The sporting component of Riyadh Season includes major international events across various disciplines.
These feature boxing, professional wrestling, football, mixed martial arts (UFC Fight Night), tennis (Six Kings Slam), and padel - among others. The season also incorporates emerging sports and esports, such as flag football and the Esports World Cup, held at venues like the Kingdom Arena and Mohammed Abdo Arena.
