Saudi Arabia Darts Masters introduce record-breaking prize pot for 'Riyadh Season Bullseye'

The PDC have confirmed that those competing at the Saudi Arabia Darts Masters could win a remarkable $200,000 if they produce a nine-darter at the event.

Be it boxing, football, MMA or, in this case, Darts, Riyadh Season is transforming financial incentives in sport, with chairman and Saudi Arabian bank-roller Turki Alalshikh the driving force behind the vast majority of the government-backed entertainment sector.

The PDC confirmed that a record-breaking $200,000 could be up for grabs for players participating at the Riyadh Season Saudi Arabia Darts Masters.

A statement read: "There will also be a bumper $100,000 prize on offer to any player who lands a nine-darter throughout the event - and this bonus could be doubled following the introduction of the Riyadh Season Bullseye.

If a nine-darter is hit during the event, the player will be given one dart at the bullseye to double their prize to $200,000, which would constitute the biggest prize pot for a nine-darter in PDC history.

The World Series of Darts event will mark the first PDC event to be staged in Saudi Arabia, following interest shown by PDC president Barry Hearn and General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Al-Sheikh.

While Michele Turetta did hit a nine-dart finish in a World Series of Darts Finals Qualifier against Andy Boulton in 2025, there were no nine-darters on the official tour, putting into perspective how hard a task it will be for players in Saudi Arabia next week.

If recording the perfect leg wasn't hard enough, following it up with a bullseye will only add to the pressure, especially with an additional $100,000 up for grabs.

The event will commence on 19th January and draw to a close on 20th January, when the final will be played.

The winner of the Saudi Arabia Darts Masters will take home £30,000, a fee that will be eclipsed if any player is able to notch the perfect leg and subsequently find the bull.

Eight PDC representatives, including back-to-back World Darts Championship winner Luke Littler, will meet eight Asian representatives, including Worlds fan favourite Motomu Sakai.
