When is the Saudi Arabia Darts Masters?

The 2027 Saudi Arabia Darts Masters is the second World Series of Darts event of the year, following hot-on-the-heels of the Bahrain Darts Masters.

The event in the Middle East will take place across two days in mid to late January.

Prize money for the 2027 staging of the Saudi Arabia Darts Masters is expected to be identical to that of 2026, with £30,000 being allocated to the winner.

With the event falling under the World Series of Darts banner though, it's worth noting that the prize money won won't be included on the PDC Order of Merit.

What is the 'Riyadh Season Bullseye'?

The PDC confirmed that a record-breaking $200,000 could be up for grabs for players participating at the 2026 Riyadh Season Saudi Arabia Darts Masters. A statement read:

"There will also be a bumper $100,000 prize on offer to any player who lands a nine-darter throughout the event - and this bonus could be doubled following the introduction of the Riyadh Season Bullseye.

"If a nine-darter is hit during the event, the player will be given one dart at the bullseye to double their prize to $200,000, which would constitute the biggest prize pot for a nine-darter in PDC history."

It's anticipated that the same prize, if not even bigger, will be on offer in 2027.

Venue & Location

The 2027 Saudi Arabia Darts Masters is likely to once again be staged at the the Global Theatre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - the same venue which hosted the event in 2026.

Line-up and Qualifying

The full confirmed 16-player field for the 2027 Saudi Arabia Darts Masters will be announced early in 2027, following the conclusion of the World Darts Championship.

The likes of Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and 2026 champion Michael van Gerwen are all expected to be in attendance.

Format and Rules

Identically to all other World Series of Darts events, 16 players will toe the oche in Riyadh, with eight of those representing the PDC Tour and the other eight being made up of Asian invitees and qualifiers.

The 2027 Saudi Arabia Darts Masters is a straight knockout format with first round and quarter-finals ties being contested over 11 legs, before expanding to a best-of-13 format in the semi-finals and best-of-15 in the final.

History

The 2027 Saudi Arabia Darts Masters will represent its second outing as part of the World Series of Darts.

Forming part of Riyadh Season, the competition is the first PDC event to be staged in Saudi Arabia and comes after PDC president Barry Hearn and General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Al-Sheikh spoke of their desire to bring darts to the country.
