Argentina Men's Football Team
Formed in 1902, the Argentina Men's National Football Team is one of the most successful national teams in international football history.
Argentina has lifted the FIFA World Cup trophy three times, in 1978, 1986 and - most recently - in 2022. They hold a record 16 Copa América titles, demonstrating their consistent dominance in South American football, with their latest victory coming in 2024.
As a proud footballing nation, Argentina have produced some of the greatest players to ever step foot on a football pitch. Diego Maradona, a national icon, single-handedly inspired Argentina to World Cup glory in 1986 with a series of legendary performances, whilst Lionel Messi - Argentina's all-time leading scorer and most capped player - is widely regarded as the greatest footballer of all time. He has also won the Ballon dOr a record eight times.
