The reigning champions were almost given an almighty shock by Cape Verde in the round of 32, before being forced to come from behind against Egypt and go to extra time with Switzerland.
Lionel Scaloni's side again found themselves behind against England in their semi-final earlier this week, but his team were ultimately unphased and battled back to win 2-1 in Atalanta and put themselves on course for a second successive World Cup win.

Sunday's World Cup final will be held at the 82,500-capacity New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford.
The home of the New York Giants and New York Jets has hosted seven games at the tournament thus far, including England's win over Panama in the group stage and Norway's 2-1 defeat of Brazil in the round of 16.
Unlike the Dallas Stadium which was used as a venue for nine games throughout this summer's festival of football, The New York New Jersey stadium does not have a retractable roof or climate controls.
However, that should not be a problem given the generally more temperate conditions of the American east coast.
The latest weather forecast suggests that when the game kicks off at 15:00 EDT local time (22:00 BST) the temperature will be around 27 degrees celsius.
