Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly working on a deal to bring Adama Traore back to the club.
Traore has been released by West Ham United following their relegation to the Championship after only joining the club in January.
The 30-year-old was a bit-part player at the London Stadium and he featured just nine teams for the club in the Premier League.
Traore started the campaign at Fulham before former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo swooped to secure his services.
Football Insider have now reported that Traore could be set for a return to Molineux this summer.
Traore spent five years at Wolves after joining the club from Middlesbrough for a fee of £18 million.
He became a fans favourite for the club in the Premier League and he made a total of 194 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals.
His performances in the Midlands saw him win eight caps for Spain and also earned him a six-month loan deal back to boyhood club Barcelona in January 2022.
Traore eventually left Wolves on a permanent basis in the summer of 2023 when he joined Fulham on a free transfer but he is now looking for a new club again.
A drop down to the Championship in familiar surroundings could be just what Traore needs at this stage of his career.
Wolves are seemingly priorisiting exprience this summer following the arrivals of Kieran Trippier and former striker Raul Jimenez.
The addition of Traore could be another vital cog as they plot an immediate return to the Premier League.
